Build a Foam Board Mini Lazy Bee Free Plans

Build a Foam Board Mini Lazy Bee Free Plans In this video I will go over in detail on how to build a foam board Mini Lazy Bee from free plans available below for download. The Clancy Aviation Lazy Bee is an iconic sport flying RC model airplane. First presented in the 1996 RC Modeler magazine, thousands of these models have been built in a range of sizes. The large, top mounted wing and deep fuselage make for a relaxing sport flying airplane. The Lazy Bee RC plane is simply fun to build and fly. I downloaded one of the many Lazy Bee plans from the internet, see link below for the free plans. I decided to enlarge the plans by a factor of three. So for any measurement on the plans, I multiplied by 3 to get the full size of the part to draw into the foam board. The Mini Lazy Bee is a great scratch build and first RC foam board airplane. I used 3/16" foam board, hot glue and some 5 minute epoxy for the model construction. Model was built in two days with a completed weight (with battery) of 4.8 ounces. The Mini Lazy Bee flew great on its maiden flight. Plenty of power and responsive, the model flew just fine. This beginner RC airplane build is a perfect start for the modeler building an initial airplane.
