Superbook - Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream - Season 3 Episode 12

When Joy is swamped by over-scheduled responsibilities she can't figure out how to deal with, SUPERBOOK takes the kids back to Babylon in the 6th Century BC to learn how to solve her problem. They meet the young Daniel, working in the palace as one of King Nebuchadnezzar's “wise men”: a diverse collection of astrologers, soothsayers, scribes, and learned men. Frightened by a recurring nightmare, the king orders his wise men to tell him his dream and reveal its meaning -- or forfeit their lives. His other wise men insist that no one can know another's dream, but Daniel intercedes to stop the executions by asking for time to discover the secret. With execution as the price of failure, the kids urge Daniel to flee; instead, Daniel and three compatriots pray for God's help. God reveals the dream to Daniel, and he explains its meaning to the king: the dream foretells the fall of Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom, followed by a succession of other kingdoms until transient earthly realms are replaced by God's enduring church. As Daniel is rewarded by the grateful king, the kids are returned to the modern world. Joy still doesn't know the solution to her problem -- but now she knows how to find it.
