My First Police interaction in Nigeria | Notes from Naija

I had driven through countless police checkpoints in Nigeria, but this was the first time I was actually pulled over. What started as a routine stop quickly became one of the most uncomfortable experiences I’ve had since moving to Nigeria. There were moments of fear, frustration, unexpected humor, and ultimately a lesson I didn’t see coming. This isn’t a story about judging an entire country by one interaction.
