Your iPhone May Check Mail 96 Times A Day — Turn This Off
Your iPhone may be checking Mail, Gmail, Outlook, and Calendar in the background — even when you are not opening the Mail app. If Fetch New Data is set to Every 15 Minutes, your iPhone may check for new data up to 96 times a day. This setting is not inside Battery settings. It is hidden inside Mail settings. In this video, I’ll show you how to find Fetch New Data on iPhone, what Every 15 Minutes really means, why Automatically is not the worst option, and how to change Gmail, Calendar, Outlook, and other accounts to Manual if you want better battery life. Go to: Settings → Apps → Mail → Mail Accounts → Fetch New Data On older iOS versions: Settings → Mail → Accounts → Fetch New Data If your iPhone battery drains fast, don’t reset your phone yet. Check this hidden Mail setting first.
