"Resicza" is also the oldest locomotive in the park (in fact, it is the first steam locomotive built in the central-eastern area of ​​Europe), being manufactured in 1872 (in 1829 George Stephenson builds the locomotive "The Rocket"), and the newest is the narrow gauge locomotive CFR 764.001 from 1958. The Steam Locomotive Museum in Reșița is a unique collection that illustrates the progress of almost a century of rail travel and includes locomotives representative of the evolution of this industry. The era of building steam locomotives ended in 1964, when the construction of Diesel locomotives and later electric ones began. In 2016, the Locomotive Museum in Reșița was seized.
