Coimbatore girl’s murder case cracked in 24 hours: IG Ramya Bharathi | The Federal

Five special teams of the Tamil Nadu Police cracked the case of the missing 10-year-old Coimbatore girl within 24 hours using CCTV and other technical evidence, IG (West Zone) RV Ramya Bharathi, along with DIG (Coimbatore Range) P Saminathan and SP Coimbatore Allatipalli Pavan Kumar Reddy, said in a joint press briefing. The 10-year-old girl from Bharathipuram, Sulur, went missing on the evening of May 21. The main accused, Karthik (33) — a family acquaintance from Nagapattinam — allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered her before abandoning her body in a coconut grove. He was arrested after jumping off a building while trying to escape, sustaining fractures. Accomplice Mohan (30) was also arrested.
