ASLM Responds to Ebola Outbreaks in DRC and Uganda | CEO Nqobile Ndlovu's Message

As Ebola outbreaks continue to threaten lives and health systems in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda, rapid diagnostics remain one of the most powerful tools for outbreak detection, surveillance, and response. In this message, ASLM CEO Mr. Nqobile Ndlovu highlights the African Society for Laboratory Medicine's (ASLM) ongoing support to the Africa CDC-led Ebola Continental Preparedness and Response Plan. Through its responsive laboratory network and operational mechanisms, ASLM has delivered more than 6,000 Ebola diagnostic kits to the Democratic Republic of Congo within 10 days of receiving a request, with over 22,000 kits expected to be deployed to affected regions.
