Tomra T-62 Trisort RVM @ Former Rite Aid, Canandaigua NY

The Geneva Rite Aid did some remodeling, and at the time their 62 Trisort was not accessible to customers. As I knew I wouldn't be in the region again for the foreseeable future, I decided to make my way to Canandaigua to see what their Rite Aid had. Lo and behold, it was another 62 Trisort. This particular unit is very well-hidden in the store, so much so that the majority of customers wouldn't even know they had an RVM. It's also seldom used for this reason, staff told me that my ticket was the first bottle return transaction they've done. Interestingly, this machine was also not equipped with the "Remove Rejected Container" programming, the first 62 trisort I've used without it (ignoring the fact I've only ever used 3). This is also the first RVM that I've gotten to take the 50ml Fireball malt liquor bottles, which is incredible. I fully expected them to fall through the sorter and into the compactor. I made it a point to attempt them only after the sorter was set to the plastics side just in case this happened. I suppose this video serves as a Christmas gift for any RVM enthusiasts that celebrate. ---------------------------------- UPDATE OCT 2025: This location, as well as all NY Rite Aid locations have been permanently closed due to bankruptcy. These machines are no longer accessible. It's possible they may be auctioned if Tomra does not buy them back, however I do not have the space or funds to pursue such a thing. Annoyingly, now I don't have a place to redeem the 50ml bottles via RVM...
