i più comuni e gravi errori di potatura che si commettono sull'olivo

There are some mistakes that must absolutely be avoided when pruning an olive tree. They are considered serious because, if repeated over time, they can significantly weaken the tree, and in extreme cases, they can even kill it. We must always observe how a plant grows naturally. If we want to minimize stress through pruning, we must respect its natural growth pattern and harmony. A plant that is pollarded, for example, will suffer considerable stress and deplete its available reserves, because this practice involves cutting down most of the tree's structure, leaving only short portions of the main branches. The plant is deprived of its vegetative part and is therefore unable to process raw sap into elaborate sap. It's as if, for example, we had a plate of food but no mouth to eat it. Topping is always discouraged, except in exceptional cases, such as moving a tree from one location to another. In this case, it's a useful and necessary practice, as having removed all vegetation will allow the tree to establish itself more successfully, producing new roots and shoots. 🔔 TURN ON THE BELL to stay up to date on my videos.
