Bello the dog was there and briefly joined the band because he assumed that anyone who comes over is his new best friend (and is usually right about that). "Fallen Crown" makes you feel like you're standing at the edge of a precipice — part funeral procession, part campfire, entirely Holy Locust. Banjo, resonator, accordion, fiddle, cello, voices that sound like they've been traveling for years. This is what folk punk sounds like when it grows up without losing its teeth. This session was a collaboration between A Fistful of Vinyl, Holy Locust, and Flail Records — a threesome that love good music and apparently also love filming in living rooms.
