COMMENT COMPOSER ET PLANTER UNE HAIE EN MÉLANGE

In a small urban garden, Patrick Mioulane creates a plant barrier with a hedge made up of evergreen shrubs with flowering plants that attract pollinators. He begins by preparing the ground by marking out the line with a string, then digs a wide, deep trench to accommodate the shrubs. Our favorite gardener has chosen Texas privet (Ligustrum japonicum 'Texanum') for its vigor and fragrant blooms, small-leaved pittosporum (Pittosporum tenuifolium) for their delicate variegation, and photinias (Photinia x fraseri), which develop scarlet foliage in spring and umbels of highly melliferous flowers. Before the plants are permanently installed, Patrick adds a natural guano-based base fertilizer and incorporates potting soil into the original soil to improve the organic matter content. This is followed by careful planting of the shrubs and a very generous watering to finish. A practical video, full of good advice, produced with today's spirit to create an ecological and decorative green curtain.
