In 1978, young photographer Yuichi, inspired by a Sex Pistols song he happened to hear on the radio, stumbled upon a small rock fanzine called "Rockin' Doll" and went to a certain live music venue. There, he was blown away by the performance of the band "TOKAGE," led by vocalist Momo, and frantically pressed the shutter button. It was an otherworldly space overflowing with raw energy, unbound by anything—music, band, or audience. Yuichi was officially commissioned to photograph their live performances and began to interact with Momo and the band members. Soon, their music captivated young people, and the movement, known as "Tokyo Rockers," redefined Japanese rock.
