Agrigento to Modica
I travel by train from Agrigento to Modica, birthplace of my grandmother, great uncles, great grandmother, and probably lots of other Sicilian relatives. This town, like most of the province of Ragusa, is known for its amazing baroque architecture, unified because it was the style used for major reconstruction after the cataclysmic earthquake in 1693. I visit the city chocolate museum where almost all of the displays are made from… yes, you guessed it… cioccolato, including a room sized map of Italy,
