How to Make the WORST Hardstyle EVER

Everyone tries to make the best hardstyle song; This is the only tutorial on how to make the worst music on YouTube. Hopefully will still learn something? We broke down hardstyle into 3 components - melody, harmony, rhythm, and analyzed what made it good or bad under different contexts. If you are a new producer on a “how to produce hardstyle” or “how to produce EDM” binge streak, hopefully, this video might give you new perspectives. Ultimately, I am not here to prove anything; I am just here to entertain.😹 📼 What’s inside: 00:00 - The Great Return 00:08 - Defining the genre 01:55 - Lead melody 02:44 - Lead sound design and mixing 04:13 - Chords and harmony 05:32 - Kick anatomy 06:47 - Kick sound design 07:29 - Distortion and EQ 08:30 - Composition and Arrangement 09:28 - Armageddon You are reading this because of the grey text at 7:14 🤫: On top of trying too hard to be funny, I do want to try to provide some value lol. You want to be very careful when using a crazy processing chain that contains UPWARD STATIC NARROW EQ bands. Playing different notes into a sharp EQ band that has been tailored to produce one specific sound when playing one specific note will cause inconsistent timbre. This is because frequencies that are not accounted for during the EQ process may sneak into or out of the band and react in unintended ways. large and sharp EQs paired with changing input frequencies can be used for creative purpose, such as creating tonal sounds in hard dance kick rolls, but always run the final signal through a clipper or distortion if you are boosting your signal by 20-30db so the master channel remains unaffected. Ways to improve consistency in this regard is to use wider EQ bands or simply bouncing out the sound you like into an audio file (which is usually the norm for hardstyle sound design), resampling before pitching. DO NOT unironically EQ the way I EQed in the video, there is no possible reason to do so lol. Include the phrase "not inspirational" in your comment.
