He was born in Mumbai, India, on October 21, 1923, in a middle-class family. He did his graduation from Mumbai University, Maharashtra, India, in 1944 with a major in Economics. He enjoyed a happily married life with a son and a daughter. Before realizing his life mission with Jeevanvidya, Satguru was employed in the State Government of Maharashtra, and he retired as a Deputy Secretary, Finance, in the year 1981. At the young age of 25 years old, Satguru Shri Wamanrao Pai was initiated into spiritualism by his Guru, Shri Nana Maharaj Srigondekar. Satguru attained the highest goal of spiritual sadhana (self-realization), by his devoted and relentless efforts. He experienced inexplicable bliss and satisfaction, which propelled him to spread spiritual knowledge and bliss to the masses in 1952. Satguru's deep resolve to use his spiritual knowledge to eradicate human suffering led him to invent the innovative philosophy of Jeevanvidya. This philosophy has been useful to millions of people in every walk of life, at every stage. His revolutionary principle 'You are the architect of your destiny' has inspired millions of people to lead a life full of success, prosperity, and happiness. Satguru Shri Wamanrao Pai, in his lifetime, has delivered more than 10,000 lectures on the Jeevanvidya philosophy throughout India and the United States of America (USA).
