This temple, built in the late 14th century, is known to house the remains of the Chiang Mai royal family. The sight of the white chedis lined up is isn't particularly ornate, but it strangely brings a sense of humility. I walked the 1.4km from my accommodation, opting not to drive. Perhaps thanks to the distance, my words naturally slowed down. Inside the temple, the atmosphere took precedence over explanations, and I took a moment to catch my breath and left in silence.
