In fact, there is a roughly 400 vote gap between Griffo's list and the other two led by Nicola Picone and Giuseppe Apicella. The latter two are practically tied and are battling for second place. Meanwhile, contacted by telephone, Griffo, who recently served as mayor, commented: "An astonishing victory. A heartfelt thank you to the citizens of Trentola Ducenta for their affection and renewed trust in me. I will not disappoint them." (16.05.11)
