President John Dramani Mahama today joined the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to officially rename the party's national headquarters as the Jerry John Rawlings House, in honour of the party's founder and former President, the late Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings. The President also unveiled a bust of the late statesman as part of activities marking what would have been his 79th birthday. Addressing the gathering, President Mahama reflected on Rawlings' humility, revealing that the former President had consistently declined proposals to have national monuments named after him.
