How to plant a pot of Ixia (corn lily)
Ixia is a beautiful flower that is typically planted in the fall. But this week Home Depot had them displayed in line at the register and I couldn’t resist buying a bag. Ixia is a genus of cormous plants native to South Africa from the family Iridaceae. They are winter growers and should be planted in early fall and watered to start them into growth. However, you can plant them now for a late spring display before they go dormant through the summer.
