Rouh Erg (Soul of Dunes) is a documentary short film following a group of everyday riders through Morocc'n Roll, a real desert rally raid in Morocco. No script, no stopwatch, no safety net. Just the dunes of the Sahara and ordinary people chasing the Dakar dream at their own pace. Filmed entirely on a Sony A6700 with the Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3 and the Sony 16-50mm kit lens, handheld, no gimbal, and graded in DaVinci Resolve. Shot near the Erg Chebbi dunes, this is real cinematic Sony A6700 footage and Tamron 70-300mm video in one of the harshest landscapes on earth. ABOUT MOROCC'N ROLL RALLY RAID Morocc'n Roll Rally Raid, organised by Nomadas Adventure, is a true desert rally in Morocco built without a timed leaderboard. No race pressure, no clock chasing, just pure rally riding that gives you a taste of what Dakar pilots feel. It's a beginner-friendly way into rally racing, with real roadbook navigation and proper stages, yet challenging enough for experienced pilots. Over a week, riders take on dunes, gravel and open-field cap navigation, from an 80km prologue to full 150 to 250km stages, based out of the bivouac near Erfoud, around 60km from the Erg Chebbi dunes. You don't need to be a professional racer to be here. You just need the will to ride. This film follows a cast from completely different worlds. Hernan Samaniego is the man behind it all. Born in Mexico, he raced motocross and enduro before building Nomadas Adventure from the ground up after moving to Switzerland. Since 2006 his team has guided thousands of riders into the rally world, many going on to podium finishes worldwide. Ashish Raorane is a self-described "Accidental Racer" from Pune and one of the very few Indians ever to race the Dakar, taking on its toughest Malle Moto category solo, alongside multiple FIA rallies. Priyanka Dutta works in pharmaceuticals, cares for five rescued street cats and dogs, and trains to race worldwide. Next up is Baja Aragon in July 2026. Amit Jagtap is an Indian entrepreneur who trains under Ashish Raorane. Parag is an entrepreneur too, training with Ashish. Abhay is a former celebrity photographer who shot stars like Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor before joining the dunes and training under Ashish. Kenny is a Swiss business owner. Kate travels the world in her campervan. Thomas is a motivational speaker and corporate trainer. Tim and Claudius are engineers in the German aerospace industry.
