SSL (S) - See It Make It - Runner up of Film Of The Month November 2016
The Stop Sign Language police arrest the headteacher of a school for deaf children because everyone in the school uses British Sign Language (BSL). Signing is now banned – only speaking is allowed! The children make a plan to rescue their headteacher and to fight for their right to use BSL. Filmmakers aged 10-13 This film was made as part of Into Film’s See It Make It programme. See It Make It matched professional filmmakers with local clusters of film clubs to support groups of young people to make their own short films. Supported by the British Film Institute, Into Film is the UK's film learning programme for 5-19 year olds, encouraging and enabling watching, making and critical understanding of film.
