I Didn’t Buy a Snow Plow… I Did This Instead!

In today’s video, I’m tackling a winter challenge: clearing snow off our street after a good old-fashioned snowstorm. I’ll be using my LS XR3135 tractor in a bit of an unusual way to show you a budget-friendly snow removal setup. I’ve got a skid steer to 3-point hitch adapter mounted on the front of the tractor, which lets me use a standard 3-point grade blade up front. I’ve turned the blade around to push snow, and I can angle it to direct the snow off to the side. It’s a pretty affordable trick if you already own a grade blade, and it works surprisingly well! In the video, I’ll demonstrate exactly how I set it up and show it in action on our street. I also mention a few pros and cons—like the fact that it doesn’t have the spring safety mechanism a regular snowplow might have—so you can get a realistic idea of how it performs. As a bonus, I talk a bit about having my KRPAN winch on the back, which can also be used for pushing or even vehicle recovery if a neighbor gets stuck. I’ve included an affiliate link below for that skid steer to 3-point adapter if you’re interested in checking it out. That means if you decide to purchase through that link, it helps out the channel at no extra cost to you.
