Unemployment Continues to far Outstrip Government's Job Creation.| Selorm Dramani Dzramado
Youth Unemployment: It is clear that we are not focused on slogans; we are working. Our focus has been jobs, jobs, jobs. It’s not just about employing youth in projects but about sustainability. What we are focused on is not the standard of the NPP. We want to move beyond that. We want to set a record. We want to ensure that Ghanaian youth feel very, very close to us at the NDC. The youth out there who don’t have jobs are not thinking about slogans or promises. All they need is the availability of jobs. — Abdulai Sakra Alhassan, Member, NDC Communications Team The year is still young; we have until December, and we will deliver. Those who voted for us will be employed first. President Mahama is taking us to the Promised Land. — Abdulai Sakra Alhassan, Member, NDC Communications Team Youth Unemployment: What was the rate of unemployment in 2016 when Nana Addo took over? Can the NPP tell us that unemployment didn’t rise after Akufo-Addo left office? It did rise. And that is what we’ve been experiencing. This government also rode on the back of unemployment to win our mandate. The president said in the SONA that they have created over 1 million jobs. We are closely monitoring the NDC administration. Goosie Tanoh said the 24-hour economy is projected to create between 1.7 and 2 million jobs. I see the 24-hour economy as aspirational. For it to be successfully implemented, certain things must first be put in place. The fact on the ground is that unemployment continues to far outstrip the level of job opportunities created by the government. What the NPP has, in a way, outperformed the NDC at is crafting sweet-sounding slogans when it comes to job creation. When unemployment was soaring and the NPP realised that it constituted a potent and present danger to the stability of this country, they devised YouStart and NABCO, which became a fiasco. — Selorm Dramani Dzramado, Leading Member, Arise Ghana Youth Unemployment: The lady who mounted the podium at UPSA to present the 1:3:3 formula when they were reading their youth manifesto is also a presidential aide. And she is working only eight hours that’s the irony of this government. — Prosper Nartey, Member, NPP Communications Team Don't forget to subscribe for more Updates: / @joyprimetv #JoyPrime Visit the News Site: https://www.myjoyonline.com/ for more.
