The Karakiyasay is a mountain river that originates from numerous streams in the Karzhantau Range and flows into the Chirchik River, Tashkent's main waterway. The name "Karakiya" translates into Russian as "black rock" or "black cliff" due to the black moss growing on the rocks. Hike Description: After passing the small village of Saylyk, turning right from the village, the road will lead us to the starting point of our mountain hike. We will follow the Karakiyasay River; the trail is good and the climb is not difficult. At the beginning of the hike, you will need to cross a sai (water bridge) in the water. In the spring, the river is full-flowing, and in the summer and fall, you can cross the sai over rocks without getting your feet wet. Therefore, if you plan to visit this area in the spring, bring water shoes. We will reach the first, highest waterfall in about an hour. The best time to see all four waterfalls is, of course, spring, when the waterfalls are full. There are several steep climbs along the way, but they are short and not long; the children easily negotiated these sections. We'll reach the second waterfall in about 30 minutes. At the second waterfall, we must overcome a steep rocky section about 3 meters high. Sometimes hikers with a severe phobia of heights can be intimidated by this rocky section, especially those who have never been to the mountains before. After crossing this section, we'll immediately see the third waterfall, which is picturesque in spring. At this point, we'll encounter another easy rocky obstacle. To overcome it, we'll need a rope (although it's possible to overcome this section without a rope; we bring a rope just in case). After reaching the top of the obstacle, after a short rest, we'll continue on. Following a good trail around the slope to the right, we'll reach the top of the ridge, where a magnificent view of the mountains opens up, perfect for taking beautiful photos. We'll then follow the ridge down to the sai. After descending to the sai, we'll need to cross the river again, so extra water shoes will be useful. Then there's a relatively steep climb along a good trail, which takes no more than 15 minutes. Once at the top, beautiful panoramic views open up, perfect for taking stunning photos. We'll then descend along the trail to the fourth waterfall, the fullest and most beautiful of this hike. After taking photos at the waterfall, we'll ascend a bit again and descend to the Blue Lagoon, where we'll have lunch and a swim in the pool. The water is quite cool in the spring, but warms up in the summer. For lunch, we'll grill shashlik. There's plenty of time for swimming, a picnic, and relaxation in this beautiful spot. For the truly adventurous, there's also the option to jump from the waterfall into a deep pool; the thrill of the plunge is indescribable. After a rest around 4:00 PM, we'll set off on the return journey. We'll return to our transport around 6:00 PM and arrive in Tashkent around 7:30 PM.
