Transience | Dystopian Modular Performance
Transience is a live modular synth performance set in a futuristic, dystopian world, blending atmospheric textures with downtempo industrial grooves. Vhikk X takes on the role of a bass lead, driven by its internal VCA and dynamically shaped by the Endorphin.es Airstreamer. Together with the kick, it provides the low-end weight throughout much of the performance. The main lead voice comes from the Mindphaser, routed through the SSF Steady State Gate, whose organic response adds a very nice character to every note. Manis Iteritas Alia complements it with a second, more aggressive lead. During the breakdown sections, Microgrone takes over with deep drone textures and experimental atmospheres. Despite its compact size, it continues to impress me as an incredibly capable source for drones and evolving sonic landscapes. The rhythmic foundation is provided by Bohm together with the Groove Expander. Running the PX3 model, it delivers a deep, punchy kick with just the right amount of distortion to cut through the mix. Noise Plethora generates evolving hats and percussive textures, adding subtle movement and variation throughout the performance. Everything is sequenced and modulated by the Squarp Hermod+ together with the xp32 expander, allowing the entire patch to evolve continuously over time. The performance was recorded and mixed live using the 1010music Bluebox. Thanks for listening. I hope you find yourself immersed in a world that feels both distant and strangely familiar.
