sk 155 spa day

This was a once in a lifetime experience. I was entrusted to figure out the mis patterning on an sk 155. I was in this to win this. Singer machines are always going to be my favourites. Before I try patterning - I always start with a Clean slate - so I clean the carriage drums and sub drums. As well as grease and oil any parts that move, wanna move, and should move. This you can not do with the cover on. Unlike the Brother machines it is pretty straight forward how to get the pieces off. Added bonus was the really nice service manual. That being said - the service manual does not go far enough for what this machine was going through. I had already cleaned the carriage 2 days prior, but Kate Winslow said clean it again. Kate was RIGHT. After sitting for a few days more icky fibers showed themselves. I actually removed a little over grease and added some fancy oil. Any air pockets popped - and you can just barely heard them when I put the drum back on. I had to split this video for time. But we will do more cleaning in the next video. In Video #3 of this series we tackle the problem. However, I sucked at filming.
