While the central figure of the brand was Holly Hobbie (the girl in the big blue bonnet), Mopsie was another girl in a similar rustic, homespun style often featured on the same line of products. She is most commonly seen on collector plates from the early-to-mid 1970s. Examples include a 1973 Christmas plate with the phrase, "Keep a little Christmas in your heart all year," and a cake plate with the phrase "Love Is Good for Growing Things." Like the main Holly Hobbie character, Mopsie embodied the nostalgic, rural New England aesthetic with a rag-dress and bonnet look, and the illustrations often featured sentimental or sweet phrases.
