On the same day the new round of talks between Iran and the U.S to reach a final agreement will be started," Abbas Araghchi said on Tuesday. He made the comments during a meeting with foreign ambassadors and representatives based in Iran. Araghchi said the nuclear issue and lifting of sanctions will be discussed in the next phase of the talks. A tentative agreement between the United States and Iran was reached on Monday aimed at ending their war and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The agreement is meant to provide a meaningful truce in a monthslong war that has killed thousands across the Middle East, including the top leaders of Iran’s theocracy, and raised the prices of fuel, food and other basic goods far beyond the region.
