Conemaugh Chronicles: The VHS Archives Ep. 2

Every tape preserved is another piece of railroad history that won't be forgotten. Welcome to The VHS Archives, a preservation project dedicated to sharing rare railroad footage from the late Conrail and early Norfolk Southern era throughout western Pennsylvania. The footage featured in this series was generously donated from a private VHS collection and has been digitally preserved to ensure these moments aren't lost to time. Most recordings date from the late 1990s and early 2000s and capture everyday railroad operations that have long since disappeared. Some train symbols, dates, locations, and locomotive information have unfortunately been lost over the years. If you recognize anything you see in this video, please leave a comment below. Your knowledge helps document and preserve railroad history for future viewers. Please note that some tapes contain background music that was added during the original VHS editing process. In those cases, the original train audio is unfortunately no longer recoverable. Aside from basic digitization and minor image cleanup, these recordings have been left as they originally existed. Thank you for watching and helping keep railroad history alive. Series: Conemaugh Chronicles – The VHS Archives 🎥 Original Footage Courtesy of: Tom W.
