Kilronan is the main village of Inis Mór. It wasn't always that way. Killeany was the main village for centuries, until Kilronan took over in the 1850s. This video tells the story of how that happened. The video also narrates the story of An Bhean Bháite (the drowned woman), Trá na bhFrancach (Frenchman's Beach), and the Atharla - burial place of St Ronan, who gives his name to the village.
