Trail Boss Powder - Not Just for Cowboys

Taking a look at one of my favorite powders, IMR Trail Boss. This is a great powder for Cowboy Action Shooting, due to its very high volume relative to other powders on the market. It basically mimics black powder, but it's 100% modern and smokeless. But the fun doesn't stop with cowboy style guns. With a little creativity you'll find a multitude of possibilities to experiment with. Want to see what it's like to shoot a powder puff load in your high-power deer rifle without the dangers of extremely low powder volumes? How about getting your favorite semi-auto to cycle something with less bark? Of course you can always do your fair share SASS style, low-recoil single-action speed shooting with it too! The gun seen in this video is a Ruger New Vaquero. The particular load that I'm making is a 158 grain semi wad-cutter over top of some Trail Boss powder in a 38 special case.
