Halling Norwegian folk dance
Hallgrim Hansegård from FRIKAR winning the Kings prize in the nationals 2015, at Landskappleiken in his home town Fagernes. Book halling at http://frikar.com or [email protected] Halling might be the oldest living dance tradition of the Northern Europe, documented back to the 1600’s, and very similar to the dance in 3000 years old rock carvings. During the viking era the kruking (in the thumbnail) was a common way of dancing. The music is "Sumarmørgon" by Eivind Groven, performed by Knut & Ole Aastad Bråten on the instrument langeleik. The hat is hold by Ragnhild Hemsing.
