The Matrix Had One Flaw the Architect Couldn't Predict

The Architect is arguably the most powerful program in the Matrix. He calls himself "the father of the Matrix". He prides himself in his ability to create "perfect" systems whose behaviour is predictable. Despite this, he had one fatal flow that blinded him to eminent threat that would eventually lead to the destruction of the Matrix. The one thing he couldn't predict. The Architect named the exact flaw that ends his system — out loud, to Neo's face — and dismissed it as a delusion in the same breath. He built the most sophisticated predictive machine in human history and lost to the one variable he correctly identified and then refused to take seriously.
