Grid Series RD3 - Kart Parity Ends All Hopes, It's Done!! 16/3/26

Oscar doesn't edit these video's, neither does he write these descriptions, therefore the true annoyance and frustration in the Teamsport Birmingham fleet of karts can never truly be represented here. I'm sure if Oscar could edit and write these descriptions and was of an outwardly verbal nature that there would be more specific details involved here that I can't include. So here it is, a bit of a blow out video describing just one night at Teamsport Birmingham when in reality they have all been the same for us for 7 months now (since Sept 1st 2025). We don't exaggerate or make false claims, we just tell it how it is, some won't like that, others will appreciate it, regardless we just remain honest and straight forwards and here is the truth... Birmingham your karts are shite! From karts that don't have any bottom or top end speed and karts that have no brakes to karts that understeer then oversteer unpredictably we've had them all. There's one thing that runs deep amongst racers in all disciplines from kart racers to horse racers to 100 meter sprinters, whatever the sport when it comes to racing the desire for all sports people is to win. In sprinting it's all down to you, how you train and prepare, in horse racing it's all down to you, how you look after your horse, train and prepare, the same can be said for swimmers, skiers, long distance runners and so on, it all comes down to the individual. But in motorsports that goes out the window, now there's a 2nd factor, the vehicle your sat in, if that isn't up to the job then you cannot win, it's very simple. Yes we understand that the public smash the karts around at Teamsport venues, we understand that absolute perfect parity and performance across the fleet in essentially all forms of karting is near impossible and we understand you cannot win every race, all that's acceptable, but what is hard to except is having 6+ months of racing decided for us by a computer randomly assigning karts. What is the point in even turning up when the outcome is decided for you? Financially things for us are far tighter than for the 99.9% and to continue investing money into a track that offers us only what I've explained above just doesn't make sense and something has to give. However we're signed up for the entire Junior Grid Series championships and there's still 3 rounds to go, still a podium to fight for, or more accurately put still a podium to hope for, and so hope onwards we will. In this 3rd round of Grid Series (the 2nd we've attended) Oscar is given the worst kart he has ever driven for 2 consecutive races, yes 2, for a first time ever in 18 months the racers weren't given a kart swap between heats 2 and 3, is this just bad luck again?? This kart was even worse than the one's Oscar was ritually given at Daytona last year in the final race of all 8 rounds of their Inkart Championships making him by far the single most unlucky of I believe 26 racers who attended (unlucky however I think not, favouritism is a known entity, I'm free to feel this way after how events unfolded). So can Oscar compete here in round 3 of the Grid Series? We know he can get the most out of every kart he drives but will that be enough? Or will other factors also come into it such as being spun out, being blocked and pushed to the back of the pack, being squeezed into the tyres?? The thumbnail should give you a clue!
