A number of judges in Rondônia received payments exceeding R$1 million in February 2024. They were among the highest-paid judges in the country, earning over R$2 million net in the year. The payments are related to a perk recently reinstated by the TJ-RO, which is not the only court to revive old benefits terminated by a CNJ (National Council of Justice) resolution. For the "Brazil of Privileges" series, UOL analyzed 57 million payments deposited into the accounts of employees of the Three Branches of Government.
