Prof. Gilbert Fridgen (Fraunhofer Blockchain Lab): Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain – A Revolutionary Idea and Its Real Potential As part of the Bayreuth City Talks series organized by the University of Bayreuth, Professor Gilbert Fridgen will explain the revolutionary idea and the real potential of blockchain technology in a clear and accessible way. Gilbert Fridgen is Professor of Business Informatics and Sustainable IT Management at the University of Bayreuth and Deputy Head of the Business Informatics Project Group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology (FIT). He is also the founder and one of the directors of the Fraunhofer Blockchain Lab. Furthermore, he is Deputy Scientific Director of the Core Competence Center for Finance & Information Management.
