We are on a bucket list journey to the west coast via Route 66! Today we started our travels in Chicago, Illinois at the "Begin" Route 66 sign. From there we travelled along Route 66 through Illinois. We stopped at the Launching Pad / Gemini Giant, the Two Celled Jail, Route 66 Underpasses, Bob Waldmire's 1972 VW Microbus at the Route 66 Association Hall of Fame and Museum, Funks Grove Pure Maple Sirup, Land of Lincoln, Lincoln's Tomb and drove past Henry's Rabbit Ranch and the World's Largest Catsup bottle! Our plan is to travel the entire length of Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles and stopping at the must see places along the way!
