The Next Generation Endovascular Robot System (Edvardas Satkuaskas)
Edvardas Satkuaskas Chief Executive Officer, Sentante Tomas Baltrūnas, MD Founder, Sentante Recorded on 10/07/2024 Part of the annual Bookout Center symposium for Robotics, Imaging, and Digital Surgery The catheterization laboratory is undergoing a significant digital transformation, driven by advancements in robotics, analytics, and data integration. Sentante, a teleoperated robotic system designed for remote endovascular interventions, for the first time allows an entire procedure to be performed robotically. Controlled intuitively via conventional endovascular devices, Sentante senses the operator's movements and provides near-natural haptic force feedback. While working remotely, physicians can experience the same sensations of catheter and guidewire resistance as if they were physically present beside the patient. This teleoperated robotic system eliminates X-ray radiation exposure for medical personnel and introduces new functionalities enabled by digital robotic technology, including extreme precision, motion scaling, stability, enhanced device control, and superior X-ray visualization, among others. ** This medical education program may contain graphic content. ** _________________________________ A DeBakey CV Education event Presented by Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center.
