Coconut Octopus (Amphioctopus marginatus) walking, running, and carrying shells - Lembeh, Indonesia
A fabulous trip to Lembeh Strait, Indonesia in September 2023 provided lots of encounters with coconut octopuses. They were popping out of their home shells, walking backwards back into the shells, and being delightfully entertaining! They also spread their tentacles and carried their shells around - bonus! Enjoy this compilation of a variety of our sightings of the coconut octopus during this trip.
