The bizarre cars of Shakotan Boogie manga (シャコタン☆ブギ) - Toyota Soarer 2800GT - Skyline KGC10

What do a Toyota Soarer 2800GT MZ11, Nissan Skyline KGC10 and Nissan Fairlady Z S30 have in common? All three have become icons thanks to the Shakotan Boogie manga (シャコタン☆ブギ). In this video I'll spot all the cars and some of the rims used in the first part of the Japanese Shakotan Boogie manga. Shakotan Boogie is a manga about Hajime Yamamoto and Koji Watanabe, who own an extremely lowered Toyota Soarer 2800GT MZ11. Lowered cars like this are called shakotan (it literally means lowered car) and often referred to as Zokusha, Kaido Racers, Yankii and in western world as Bosozoku Style. Their adventures mostly revolve around dating two girls, Mariko and Yumi, who seemingly get picked up by rivaling shakotan owners or hijacked by yakuza. #carspotting #manga #shakotanboogie #zokusha #kaidoracers #bosozokustyle #シャコタン☆ブギ You can find scanned images of the cars here: https://www.banpei.net/manga-car-spot...
