I’m Sleeping in a Church?! -Day 62- Camino de Santiago

*Day 62 (Hontanas–Itero del Castillo)* I woke up earlier than ever and walked toward the first town, which sat on a hill in the bottom of a golden valley. I looked for a café emptier than the pilgrim one and found a good place to journal. After writing, I walked toward the hill leading out of the valley and met Inez from the Netherlands. We walked together all the way to Itero del Castillo, talking about life, relationships, and God. We checked into an ancient albergue that was a church and run by Italians. Later, I visited the small town for lunch and met Davide, Philip, and Jordan, who would both stay at the albergue with us. I napped and showered, then talked with Jordan and read the Bible. Later, we all sang along to a ukulele, had our feet washed like Christ washed the disciples’ feet, and I ate with various Italians. Day to day pours forth knowledge, and night to night reveals knowledge.”
