西伊豆パワー炸裂！美味しい魚連発！

[With English subtitles] At a certain fishing pier on the western coast of Izu, I tried two different styles of basket fishing: “Super Light Basket Fishing” to target schooling pelagic fish, and a basket rig with a bottom hook (basket dropper rig) to aim mainly for grouper such as the Barred Knifejaw Grouper (Oomon-hata). The catch of the day included a variety of fish: small Red Sea Bream (called “Chari-ko” when juvenile), the powerful-fighting Oomon-hata Grouper, a young Striped Beakfish (Sanba-sou) with its distinctive stripes, and even a colorful Parrotfish (Budai). Thanks to this wide variety, it truly felt like a typical fishing trip in Nishi-Izu, full of diversity and excitement. This outing let me enjoy both the casual fun of Super Light Basket Fishing and the deeper challenge of basket bottom rigs at the same time. Please enjoy watching this fishing adventure!
