Bharat Mata Mandir is in the premises of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth (Varanasi). It was built by Dr. Shivprasad Gupta and inaugurated by Gandhiji in 1936. There is no picture or statue of any god or goddess in this temple but there is a three-dimensional geographical map of undivided India engraved on marble. Mountains, plateaus, rivers and oceans are all depicted beautifully in this map. This feature is a tribute to Bharat Mata Mandir. Physical and cultural diversity of India. Bharat Mata Statue: This temple houses the statue of Bharat Mata, which is a symbol of the Indian nation.
