🌱 Evening Descending Mercy - Hidden by Mercy, Revealed by Mercy: Seeing Kṛṣṇa Through Śrī Guru.

🌱 Evening Descending Mercy - Hidden by Mercy, Revealed by Mercy: Seeing Kṛṣṇa Through Śrī Guru - Jun 01 2026 In Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa says: nāhaṁ prakāśaḥ sarvasya yoga-māyā-samāvṛtaḥ “I am not manifest to everyone, being covered by My yoga-māyā.” Kṛṣṇa is present everywhere, yet the conditioned jīva cannot truly see Him. The Lord reveals Himself only through His mercy, and that mercy flows through Śrī Guru and the Vaiṣṇavas. The entire meditation below revolves around this realization: Kṛṣṇa is not attained by independent effort but by mercy descending through Guru-paramparā. “The lotus feet of Śrī Guru are the exclusive abode of pure devotion. With great care and reverence, I bow down unto them.” When one truly realizes: “Everything sustaining my spiritual life is coming through Guru’s mercy,” then natural affection awakens for the giver of that mercy. “By whose mercy one crosses material existence and attains Kṛṣṇa.” According to BG 7.25, Kṛṣṇa remains hidden from conditioned vision. Yet through Guru’s mercy, the veil begins to lift, and Kṛṣṇa becomes visible within the heart. “Make the words from Guru’s lotus mouth one with your heart. Desire nothing else.” “Let Guru’s instructions circulate within my consciousness. I need no separate desire.” From that surrender comes spiritual strength. “Attachment to Śrī Guru’s lotus feet is the highest destination. By his mercy all desires become fulfilled.” Not material desires, but the soul’s deepest longing—to serve Kṛṣṇa. “He who has given me divine eyes is my master birth after birth. He illuminates transcendental knowledge within the heart.” Guru gives spiritual sight. Before mercy, Kṛṣṇa may be standing directly before us, yet we cannot recognize Him. After mercy, everything becomes meaningful. “From him comes loving devotion, and ignorance is destroyed. The Vedas sing of his glories.” “I may think I am pushing forward in bhakti, but actually mercy is carrying me.” This is the Gaudiya understanding. Not: “I am advancing.” But: “Mercy is advancing me.” “Śrī Guru is an ocean of mercy and the friend of the most fallen.” The conditioned soul realizes: “I am fallen, yet Guru continues carrying me toward Kṛṣṇa.” ⸻ Vaiṣṇava Mood “I offer repeated obeisances unto all Vaiṣṇavas, who are desire trees, oceans of mercy, and saviors of the fallen.” The devotee bows to all Vaiṣṇavas and desires the dust of their lotus feet. “The dust of the Vaiṣṇavas’ feet is my bathing place, and chanting their names is my nourishment.” “My wealth is Nityānanda. My Lord is Gauracandra. My very life is the Divine Couple, Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa.” The Mercy That Carries Us The same mercy that brought us to bhakti, brought us to Guru, brought us to the holy name, brought us to Vṛndāvana, and brought us to service, will continue carrying us forward. Therefore the question is not: “How will I attain perfection?” Rather: “How can I honor the mercy already given?” The answer: Honor the Holy Name. Honor Guru’s instructions. Honor service opportunities. Honor Vaiṣṇavas. Honor prasāda. Honor everything connected to Kṛṣṇa. Honoring Mercy Is Bhakti A beautiful conclusion emerges: “If you are wondering what to do in bhakti—honor what has already been given.” Honor: Nāma-sevā Guru-sevā Vaiṣṇava-sevā Kṛṣṇa-kathā Prasāda The opportunities arranged by Guru and Kṛṣṇa Then service naturally deepens. “O Tulasī Devī, beloved of Kṛṣṇa, I offer repeated obeisances unto you. My only aspiration is to attain service to Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa.” “Please make me your follower and grant me qualification for service.” “Make me your servant and engage me as a servant of Kṛṣṇa.” Kṛṣṇa says that He remains hidden behind His divine potency. The conditioned soul cannot discover Him through intellect, scholarship, or independent endeavor. But when mercy descends through Śrī Guru, the Vaiṣṇavas, Tulasī Devī, and the Holy Name, the Lord gradually reveals Himself. Thus the devotee’s realization becomes: “I am not reaching Kṛṣṇa by my strength. Kṛṣṇa is reaching me through mercy.” And the proper response is simple: Honor the mercy. Serve the mercy. Depend on the mercy. And that mercy will carry the soul all the way to the lotus feet of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. Hare Kṛṣṇa.🙏🌸 🙏🙏
