After traveling from Busan to Tongyeong, I took the 11:00 ferry from Tongyeong Port to Udo. Upon arrival, it took about 25 minutes to walk to the snorkeling points. You cannot drive to the points! Since you have to pass through villages and mountain paths, a backpack would be more convenient than a suitcase. I returned to Tongyeong Port on the last ferry at 4:55. It was a spring tide that day; the water temperature near the shore was about 20 degrees, while further out was around 23 degrees. The total time spent in the water was about 1 hour, and the maximum depth recorded on the diving watch was approximately 4.4 meters. Near Gumeongseom Island, we could see fish that looked like damselfish, wrasse, and striped bass, and there were more fish scattered throughout the area than expected. The current made the walk from Gumeongseom Island to the shore a bit difficult. Just as we surfaced, a fishing boat was approaching!
