Rochester NH History - 1928 Circus Train Crash
Did you know that Buried at The Rochester Cemetery on Franklin Street are several paupers or indigent people? These are graves for people too poor to afford a proper burial. No stones or markers are placed on these sites. In the summer of 1928 additional unmarked graves were interred at the cemetery for the victims of a horrific railroad accident that injured many and killed four. Here is the story of the victims and the train.
