Coldplay interview on ROVE (with Rove McManus) - Episode 5, 2009 season. Coldplay are one of the most exciting bands in the world and they are back in Australia for a tour. Chris Martin, Will Champion, Guy Berryman and Jonny Buckland formed the band 1998 after meeting at the University College of London. Their full length debut Parachutes went multi-platinum in several countries and earned the band their first Grammy. Riding high on that success, the band continued to work hard and released 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' which saw them tour Globally and win Grammy Awards for 'Clock and In My Place'. Their third successful album XandY also dominated the charts. The much awaited Grammy winning Viva La Vida arrived in June 2008, has sold in excess of 6 million copies and has solidified Coldplays reputation as one of the biggest bands in the world. Rove has been granted some rather special access and will be catching up with the band backstage at Rod Laver Arena.
