COOKING DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY CAVA MEDITERRANEAN BOWLS AT HOME - simple step by step guide, recipe

GROCERY LIST (all ingredients are purchased from WholeFoods): Brown Rice (any rice of choice) Spinach, arugula (greens of choice) Chicken breasts Tomatoes 1 large cucumber Red onion 1 lemon 1 container of Greek yogurt 1 red wine vinegar Olive oil Pita chips Hummus (of choice) Feta cheese Greek seasoning Hot pickled peppers (cherry or jalapeño) Banana peppers Kalamata olives (optional) Dill Greek Seasoning: Garlic powder Garlic Salt Dill Parsley Oregano Basil Link to recipe with measurements: https://sweetpeasandsaffron.com/greek... LEMON SQUEEZER: https://amzn.to/3xig1Y2 RECIPE: 1. Start by cooking brown rice per directions on bag 2. Start prepping veggies - slice half a red onion very thin and put into Mason jar, drizzle with olive oil and submerge with red wine vinegar. Add in dash of garlic salt and pepper. Shake to make sure onions are fully coated in oil and vinegar. Set aside to marinate in the meantime. 3. Chop up tomato and cucumber into very small bite sized pieces. Mix into container with 1/4 of chopped red onion. Toss with a drizzle of olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and set aside. 4. Prepare homemade tzatziki dressing - spoon 1 container of greek yogurt into bowl and squeeze in 1/2 a lemon and a drizzle of olive oil. Mix in seasonings - salt, pepper, garlic salt, garlic powder, and LOTS of dill. Add more seasonings as needed (you may want to add water to thin it out). 5. Cut chicken breasts in small pieces and place into cooking pan with with a drizzle of olive oil. Make sure pieces are coated entirely in Greek seasoning, drizzle with more olive oil as needed. Toss and cook chicken in pan until cooked completely. (You can add the leftover red onion pieces and sautee with the chicken here for more flavor, and you can also add in the other half of the lemon here) 6. Crush up pita chips in plastic bag for easy cleanup and set aside 7. Assemble dishes: spinach/greens mixture, rice, chicken, cucumber and tomato salad mixture, hot and sweet banana peppers, picked jalapenos, pickled red onion, spoonfuls of hummus, drizzle tzatziki on top of bowl, and sprinkle feta cheese over top (also optional to add more fresh squeezed lemon on top) 8. Finally, top with crushed up pita chips and ENJOY!!
