Mivel járhatok Isten kedvében? – Béla tanítása

"If you don't know how to please someone, it's because you don't know them deeply enough — whether it's a person, or God himself." Béla begins from Micah 6: people start guessing what would please God — burnt offerings, calves, rams, rivers of oil? But Micah says there's no need to guess: God revealed it thousands of years ago, and still shows it today. "He has shown you, O man, what is good: to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God" (Micah 6:8). The problem is inattentiveness. We live in a fast, noisy city where it's very easy to know everything only on the surface — and often we don't even get as far as asking the question: how can I please those I love, God, my brothers and sisters, my pastor? For this we have to slow down. This is why we call it the still, small voice: because the world is louder than the Lord's voice, and to hear him we must switch off our physical ears. This is exactly what fasting is for — not a wish list, but slowing down, so we can truly pay attention to God. Through John 14 (Philip asks Jesus to show him the Father — yet he had already received it, he just didn't notice), the message arrives at the third letter of John: there is no greater joy than to see someone walk according to the Spirit, in the truth. Because it is through us that others see God's nature — and this is how we bring joy to the Lord. There is a difference between one blessing and another: what blesses the body is not the same as what blesses the soul. The true blessing is to have the time and attention to truly know the Lord. 🙏 Real people, real change — from the Feléledési Közösség (Revival Fellowship, Budapest). 📍 1086 Budapest, Dobozi utca 5.
