Have you ever tried 'kapsalon'*? Video in the series 'Only Dutch people eat this!' What happens if you give a 'kapsalon' to a foreigner? Do you like it? That's what we asked to the students of the BLC Dutch Winter School. Reference about the origin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapsalon In short: Kapsalon = a dish, first made by a Turkish restaurant owner in Rotterdam, based on the favourite ingredients of a Cabo Verdean hairdresser next-door. The hairdresser frequently called the restaurant for the 'usual order for the 'kapsalon'.
